Our Story.

Flight Path began with a shared love of travel, wine, food and the experiences that bring them together. Husband-and-wife founders Dave and Jessica Klodnicki have spent much of their lives exploring the world - with Dave’s career as an airline captain and Jessica’s role as CEO of an outdoor company - making travel a natural part of their story.

Two years living in Paris deepened their appreciation for French wine and the traditions, places and people behind every bottle, while time spent living in Santa Cruz and Sonoma brought that passion closer to home.

Their journey eventually led to a small estate in Napa Valley’s Oak Knoll District where they are reimagining a historic tank house on the property and cultivating premium estate Merlot as the foundation for their wines.

Restoring a Napa Landmark.

Our century-old redwood Tank House is one of the most distinctive pieces of our Napa Valley property. Rising three stories above the vineyard, we’re carefully preserving its original character while reimagining it as a one-of-a-kind three-story guest house. A stunning steel staircase will connect each level, leading to sweeping views that are among the best in Napa Valley.

Where our wines take root.

Flight Path sits on just two acres in Napa Valley’s Oak Knoll District, near the southern gateway to the Napa Valley Agricultural Preserve along historic Highway 29.

At the heart of our small estate is one acre of Merlot Clone 181, planted in 2015 with approximately 1,400 vines, alongside the property’s iconic tank house.

It’s a small piece of Napa Valley we’re proud to call our own—and the place where our estate wines and the next chapter of Flight Path are taking root.
